Crunch Chat

Crunch is a super simple way to have fun, open and anonymous group chats with your friends.

You can use the chat from anywhere. A desktop app is available for Windows and MacOS and a mobile app is available on Android. You can also access the chat from the web by following the link below:

Creating and joining rooms

When you open Crunch you are presented with a sign in screen and two options:

Join room

To join a room simply enter the 4-digit room code and a valid username (less than 12 characters) and click join room or press enter.

Create room

Simply enter a username and click create room. You will enter a new room. The room number will be in the sidebar on the left in a button. Clicking the button will add the room number to the clipboard.

Send Messages

Write messages in the text box at the bottom of the screen. Messages must be less than 256 characters. You can send messages by simply pressing enter or clicking the send button.

Room bot

The room bot is your assistant in the Crunch Chat. You can communicate with him by using commands. Commands always begin with ! and follow with a single word. For example the following is a break down of what would appear if you sent !help.

!members : Lists all the members in the chat. You can also view members by clicking the members button (visible on desktop).

!leave : Leave the room. You can also click the leave room button.

!clear : Removes all messages on your device.

!room  : Displays the current room number

!username : Displays your username

!link : Paste a link after this command. Will send a clickable hyperlink to everyone in the chat.

Example: !link https://www.link.com

!image : Paste a link to an image after this command. Will send the image to everyone in the chat. The image link must be a direct link to an image and end in any of the following extensions: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif.

Example: !image https://www.image.com/image.png
